1. Install RHQ
2. Go to the Operations menu for your RHQ server and attempt to restart the instance just like you would any other AS instance. (This currently fails; see due to
RHQ-876)
3. Since your RHQ hasn't come back up, go to the prompt and restart it like you normally would.
4. Wait some time, go to
http://$hostname:7080
5. View results.
Current results:
Bad, bad news -- at some horked state showing installer screen ( welcome.jsf --see attached screenshot) that never goes away. Even stopping server and restarting it fails to fix. User must (probably) reinstall, unless there's some funkified way to get around this.
Expected result:
Can restart server.
Other notes:
There is currently no known way to repro this w/o
RHQ-876. However, there is obviously some bad logic causing us to see welcome.jsf again. I suggest this logic be fixed first, prior to
RHQ-876 since it could crop up elsewhere.
That won't work - you MUST use the rhq-server.sh/bat scripts
Just an FYI
